The School of Nursing invites innovative and visionary nurse researchers to apply for the Rudin Associate Dean for Research position.

The Rudin Associate Dean for Research will oversee all aspects of the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing research enterprise, provide oversight for the PhD in Nursing Program in collaboration with the PhD Program Director, mentor faculty and students in their research and scholarship, maintain their own active program of externally funded research, and provide guest lectures. The Rudin Associate Dean for Research will manage the research budget and grants administration in collaboration with the Hunter College and School of Nursing financial teams. This position includes responsibility for committee, administrative, supervisory, and/or other duties as assigned.

This position is in the CUNY Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and eight years of related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College.

The successful candidate will have: 1) an active, sustained program of research that makes outstanding contributions to nursing; 2) a proven track record of externally funded grants, scholarly publications, and national/international presentations; and 3) nationally recognized leadership in the field.

We are particularly interested in candidates whose program of research focuses on health equity, adult/gerontology, psychiatric mental health, and/or is based in the community. Prefer research and/or practice experience addressing the needs of under resourced communities.

New York State license as a registered nurse required. Prefer New York State advanced practice licensure (adult/gerontology, family, or psychiatric mental health).

Will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, expertise in mentoring faculty and students, and exemplify a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
